Mike has spent the last decade managing his own personal hunting properties and through that has learned how to get hunters onto Whitetail deer in the Upstate NY area. Mike has a passion for hunting whitetail deer that is 2nd to none and looks forward to sharing stories at camp about the successes of the day.

Dan Mattei brings 20+ years experience hunting the Leatherstocking Region to Whitetail Lodge Outfitters. Dan taught younger brother Mike all he knows about the woods, until of course Mike became a better hunter several years back. Dan has spent the last decade as co-owner of Whitetail Lodge Farm developing premier whitetail habitat in the region. He looks forward to bringing his experience to Whitetail Lodge clients.

Tom Flannery - Head Guide

Tom brings 20 years of guiding experience in the Leatherstocking Region. He has a long track record of guiding clients to successful hunts. A lifelong hunter Tom is flat out one of the best woodsman you will find having hunted and guided clients across the country in pursuit of deer, turkey, and elk.

Rich Couse - Guide & Butcher

Rich Couse brings 30 years of outdoor experience to WLO. He and his son Nicholas (12) are avid hunters chasing both deer and turkey in the area. Rich’s knowledge of the region will be a major asset to the clients he works with. Rich is also in charge of deer processing for WLO for clients who harvest deer while hunting with us.
